This 10-week process-oriented class offers new and seasoned actors the opportunity to get a solid taste of the brilliant work of Sanford Meisner - and why it is so relevant to your Acting AND your Life.
This class will highlight necessary basics of Sandy's work while integrating JJ's techniques: emotional and energy work* and her unique approach that lends to Authenticity.
(*Based on the work of the late NYC Master Teacher Jim Bonney and the essences of Core Energetics™).
Each week will find you experiencing various activities and exercises designed to get you

*exploration of imagination work,
*working OFF your partner -- not your ideas, and without the focus on you.
Emotional exploration, access, and 'delivery' needs to be AUTHENTIC -- REAL -- HONEST, not manufactured.

Character Development INTENSIVE
We'll explore you, your character, and more through:
- Script Exploration (distinguishing relationships)
- Writing exercises (self and character discovery)
- Core Energetics-inspired activities (body & energy work)
- Theatre-based approaches, including animal work, archetypes, personality types
You will gain character-building tools for all characters & performances (camera & stage).
· Develop strong character "personalities" and choices
· Create nuances and "moments"
Explore the depths of you and your character's inner life to better translate their subtleties with Specificity & Clarity on-camera.
